  • Customer Service Dispatcher

    SUMMARY


    Primary point of contact for incoming service calls and requests for the customer service department and coordinates the appropriate resources to meet customer needs.


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Answer all incoming phone calls and determine the nature of the call.
    • Assist the customer with scheduling service, answering questions and assigning daily work/calls to other team members.
    • Dispatch Service Technicians and maintain the Service calendar.
    • Maintain/organize knowledge of all current issues that need attention from various departments that require follow up. Be the point of contact for these customers and other employees to resolve issues or answer questions.
    • Enter all new customer information into software and maintain current customers’ information.
    • Call/Email customers who have upcoming service appointments due and get them scheduled and provide the onsite schedule for the Service Technician.
    • Verify that all job orders are closed out and invoiced properly.
    • Use organization and critical thinking skills to review the history on each account and use that information to further service the customer.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of three years’ service industry experience along with operations dispatching and scheduling preferred but not required.
    • Excellent and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Self-motivated problem-solver with a strong desire to meet company objectives.
    • The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently, and view constant change as learning experiences.
    • Ability to quickly process information and make decisions.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Energetic, outgoing, and friendly.
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and Outlook

    RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Senior Alarm Technician: NICET Certification is a plus.

    • Installation, service, and inspection of Fire & Security alarms and associated low voltage systems.
    • System testing and inspecting to NFPA standards.
    • Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of Fire & Security equipment.
    • Evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot systems equipment that requires service.
    • Ensuring the highest level of customer service & satisfaction.
    • Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management.
    • Read and interpret installation blueprints and product manuals.
    • Has excellent attendance and punctuality.
    • Appears and behaves in a professional manner.
    • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Entry Level Helper:

    • Assist senior alarm technicians
    • Keep tools organized and accessible

    QUALIFICATIONS:


    - Senior Technician:

    • At least 2 years of related work experience required; 5 or more years preferred.
    • Commercial Fire experience preferred.
    • Have knowledge of alarm system programming & troubleshooting.
    • Have knowledge of access control systems.
    • Ability to read schematics and follow written direction.

    Entry and Senior Technician:

    • Lift 70 lbs
    • Must pass criminal background check.
    • Valid driver's license with good driving record.
